Buy and sell of vintage watches
Watches83 is made up of Silvia Fernández and Sigfrid Querol, a couple based in Barcelona. After many years collecting and exchanging watches on various collectible and vintage watch platforms, in May 2015 we decided to create our own sales channel: Watches83.com.
Silvia, an Advertising Manager in the Audiovisual market, provides the logistical and operational structure for Watches83. She also acts as the bridge between Watches83 and our Watchmaking Workshop, enabling all our watches to reach every corner of the planet.
“Obviously, as with any business project, the goal is for our business model to be viable. This implies the need to make a profit on all the pieces we buy and sell, but not everything is acceptable. Our code of values requires us to provide support before and after the purchasing process, as well as to resolve any issues that may arise during the after-sales process. As we all know, in the vintage watch world, the risk is higher than in modern watches.”
Sigfrid, the other 50% of Watches83, is a painter and advertising creative by profession. He began in the vintage watch world more than 30 years ago. He is responsible for our watch catalog and our brand image (content, design, photography, merchandising, etc.). He also oversees customer communications.
“The vintage watch world, much to our regret, sometimes suffers from the tendency to be a closed and elitist world, reserved only for a select few. Our aim is to break that reality by making vintage watches accessible to everyone. We aim to mainstream this passion by offering a wide range of prices: from modest watches designed for those new to this passion to more exclusive pieces only suitable for a select few."
